Jason has been a practicing pharmacist for 29 years, and his primary clinical focus has been travel health and vaccines for more than 10 years.
He is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and the Alberta Association of Travel Health Professionals. In 2009, Jason successfully challenged the International Society of Travel Medicine Certificate of Knowledge Examination in Budapest.
Jason is also involved with training the next generation of pharmacists. He does the travel health lectures for pharmacy students at the University of Alberta each year.
Jason also has actual experience travelling around the globe. At last count he has been to 21 countries across six continents.. Some favourite travel memories include watching the sunrise in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, viewing the awesome power of nature at Iguazu Falls in Argentina, experiencing the Lunar New Year in Vietnam, and cycling tours of the Netherlands and eastern Europe.
